Calm & Connected

Program for Parents

What kind of parent do you want to be?

When we become parents, we have an image of ourselves as nurturing, supportive, and calm. We’ll be “fair,” even when we’re angry. We’ll walk away from even tough interactions knowing that we handled ourselves well. We will definitely not repeat any patterns from our own childhood.

What we do not imagine is the feelings that can wash over us when our kids push our buttons. Those feelings that we know are coming from somewhere in our own childhoods. And then we have a 3-year-old refusing to put on their shoes. Or a 13-year-old rolling their eyes. And we find ourselves experiencing our own emotions and not knowing what to do!

Before you let the guilt take up residence in your heart, it’s important to understand that however you feel is valid. Parenting is an emotional adventure; oftentimes, the things that make us emotional seem infinitesimally small. That’s okay. This is a no-judgement zone.

Surrounding her are colorful text quotes praising her parenting and support. The quotes read: 'I believe that every parent is doing their best, given the tools and support they have,' and 'I only parent a child who I want to see succeed in life.' There is also a badge labeled 'APIT' with her name, Whitney Fosco, indicating a recognition or award.

Has this happened to you?

Have you felt the terrible feeling that you’re “messing up”?

Many of us never learned how to understand our own emotions and now they’re coming out unexpectedly in our parenting.

But now we have the Calm & Connected Program for Parents and you can finally learn the tools you need to parent from a place of calm with other parents who Get It.
