Calm & Connected

Program for Parents

What kind of parent do you want to be?

When we become parents, we have an image of ourselves as nurturing, supportive, and calm. We’ll be “fair,” even when we’re angry. We’ll walk away from even tough interactions knowing that we handled ourselves well. We will definitely not repeat any patterns from our own childhood.

What we do not imagine is the feelings that can wash over us when our kids push our buttons. It’s unbelievable how BIG those feelings be. And then we have a 3-year-old refusing to put on their shoes. Or a 13-year-old rolling their eyes. And we find ourselves overreacting.

Before you let the guilt take up residence in your heart, it’s important to understand that however you feel is valid. Parenting is an emotional adventure; oftentimes, the things that make us emotional seem infinitesimally small. That’s okay. This is a no-judgement zone.

Do you recognize any of these behaviors?

  • Yelling, screaming, or raising your voice

  • Belittling your child, being sarcastic

  • Punishing your child in ways that you know are “too much”

  • Avoiding your child because you’re not sure ewhat to do

  • Feeling overwhelmed  or scared by your emotions

  • Feeling emotionally disconnected from your child

  • Recognizing later that you overreacted

  • Being told by your partner that you are “too angry

  • Learning that your child is afraid of you

Has this happened to you?

Have you felt the terrible feeling that you’re “messing up”?

Many of us never learned how to understand our own emotions and now they’re coming out unexpectedly in our parenting.

But now we have the Calm & Connected Program for Parents and you can finally learn the tools you need to parent from a place of calm with other parents who Get It.

Which option is right for you?
