How We’re Different
At Thriving Child Center, we stand out by offering personalized, evidence-based treatments designed to meet the unique needs of every client. Our approach combines science-backed therapies with a compassionate focus on each individual’s strengths, ensuring the most effective treatment possible. What also sets us apart is our expertise in conducting psychological evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD, providing comprehensive reports in weeks, not months. Our services are offered in both English and Spanish, making care accessible to a wider range of families.
We can help
It's better to act early and get a treatment that will really work instead of waiting and experiencing unnecessary stress and frustration. We can successfully address many challenges in as little as three to four months.
-
During your first appointment, which is called a therapy intake appointment, your therapist will do a thorough assessment to understand your concerns as well as your difficulties and strengths.
For children, the therapy intake appointment will be a parents/caregiver only meeting so that you can discuss all of your concerns openly and create a context for our work together. The next session will include an interaction with your child/teenager so that we can further evaluate their needs. For adults, the intake appointment will include a meeting with you and potentially with certain family members if you believe it will be helpful.
During the intake appointment, we will let you know if additional testing is necessary to make a correct diagnosis. We will discuss the results of the therapy intake assessment and design a treatment plan that will be most effective for your concerns based on scientific research. We will regularly measure treatment progress to make sure that the treatment is working effectively and adjust it when appropriate.
