Licensed Professional Counselor
About Me
Do you have a teenager who feels misunderstood, shut down, or constantly in conflict with the rest of the family? Are you trying to support your teen while also managing tension, strong emotions, or ongoing power struggles at home?
I work closely with teens and their families, especially when relationships feel strained or communication has broken down. I have a deep appreciation for the complexity of adolescence and a strong ability to help teens feel heard, respected, and accepted within their family system. At the same time, I collaborate closely with parents to address challenging behaviors and rebuild connection in ways that feel realistic and sustainable.
I believe families thrive when everyone feels understood and supported. My approach is relational and collaborative, and I prioritize authenticity, openness, and shared goal-setting. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and trauma-informed care, always tailoring the work to the unique needs of each family.
I am also comfortable working with families who are navigating separation, divorce, or court involvement. I cherish the opportunity to help families move through these transitions in ways that minimize conflict and support healthy relationships, especially when children are involved. When possible, I aim to help families navigate these changes with less legal involvement and more emotional clarity.
I support individuals and families navigating a wide range of concerns, including neurodiversity, anxiety and mood challenges, identity exploration, family conflict, multigenerational living, parenting stress, family estrangement, grief, and major life transitions.
