Ms. Wallace is committed to providing evidence-based treatments to children, adolescents, families and women. Ms. Wallace enjoys working with those who are emotionally vulnerable or who want to learn new communication skills, overcome past trauma, find new coping skills, and see new approaches to everyday life. Ms. Wallace’s particular interest is working with children and their families that struggle with behavioral difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and social challenges. Ms. Wallace enjoys helping strong-willed children and parents learn how to find the best solution and reactions to hard situations. Ms. Wallace has worked extensively with those who struggle with anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, trauma, grief and loss, and ADHD.
Ms. Wallace received her master’s in social work from the University of Oklahoma and completed practicum with a focus on providing evidenced based care to women, children and families who just experienced a traumatic event. Ms. Wallace completed her clinical supervision at Family and Children’s Services in Tulsa, Oklahoma working with children and families who struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma exposure, behavioral difficulties, autism, and social challenges. Under the guidance of global trainers at the University of Oklahoma, she completed her PCIT therapist and level 1 trainer certification. Ms. Wallace founded Family and Children Services PCIT program in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Within that clinic, Ms. Wallace was able to build a successful program of training clinicians in PCIT and providing PCIT to families. In 2015 ,Ms. Wallace moved to the Texas Gulf coast and became a part of a PCIT Autism Spectrum Disorder program with Depelchin Children’s Center in Houston. Before joining the Thriving Child Center Ms. Wallace worked six years providing evidenced based care within a school-based clinic in Galveston, Texas.
